Aloha from Maui!!!
Ahhhhh--------how wonderful it is to sit by the pool and finally accept the fact that I am golden brown... ok-ok.... I'm at the verge of darkness, but it doesn't seem to stop anyone here from wanting to lay out in the sun and tan some more. Whatevs!
Well, Brian and I are here for a week, so if you happen to see a pair of floating white teeth in the dark... that'll be me. This sunscreen doesn't seem to be blocking me from getting dark... but it's ok... it seems that the more alcoholic beverages I consume, the less I appear to be dark... at least that's what I think.
Aloha!

...honey.... I'm home!

Well, looking back at my blogging, it hasn't been that long since my last post, so... I guess I don't feel so bad now. Anyway, I am done with my summer semester, so basically 2 more semesters to go. My how time flies when you are dealing with gastritis. Well, I think I have about 7 weeks to rest 'til the fall semester begins. I have quite a few flying trips planned ahead of me. may I just say... "yippee!" Tune in later to get all the juicy info... that is if I remember.

no excuses!

Ok-Ok.... I'm still in "vacation" before summer semester starts, but the exercise routine plan isn't exactly going as planned. I do really well once I start the streak of working out at the gym or doing those aerobic classes, but once I break the routine, I get so lazy that it's hard for me to start up again. Anyway, my co-workers and I are trying to be good and no more munching on cheetos or ice cream drumsticks. Last week we tried to do the "Master Cleanse" where you drink a little home made potion of lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper with water. It kinda tastes like a long island ice tea without the kick. It doesn't taste bad at all, it's suppose to satisfy all of the tastes: sweet, bitter, sour... so that you won't get hungry, and mainly it is supposed to help clean out the bad insides. We did it for one day, and I lasted the work day, but I had to eat something for dinner, so I cheated. In reality, you're supposed to take some kind of laxative tea or medication with the "lemonade" to help get rid of all the sludge, but I didn't want to do that. I think I lost 1lb of water weight that day... but I got it right back yesterday and today b/c I celebrated mom's day x 2. On saturday morning for my mom, Brian and I took my family out to todai.... then this am, we took out Brian's mom to breakfast after church. Lot's of eating! That's ok though, I'll try to start my routine once again this week.
I got my books for the semester which starts at the end of this month... maybe I'll hit the books early and start my assignments this week as well. Just a few more semesters to go!

I WON THE WICKED LOTTERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was so wonderful! Yvette (my nursing school chum) and I went to Pantages Theatre after my shift last night. We arrived without tickets, hoping just to buy some at the box office, but they were still mucho expensive. So we decided to wait for the lottery and if we don't get the tickets, then we'll just end up buying them. So ..... with the power of the SECRET, my name was the first to be drawn!!!! We won orchestra seats center right! It was SPECTACULAR! We were up in the first row and we were able to see their facial expressions so clearly, and even their makeup, and I saw their microphones on the top of their head.... not stuff you'd normally want to see, but it was awesome! The whole night was so wonderful. Yvette got me the soundtrack and I got her a wicked good food apron. Oh boy oh boy.... now I can say I'm a part of the wicked cool crowd!

Moving right along

Newsflash: I'm going to see WICKED tonight!!!!

...I think...

I didn't buy tickets yet but I was planning to go after work with a school chum from nursing. We plan to get the cheapy tickets that go on sale the day of the show. So wish us good luck in getting good seats for a cheapy price. WHOOOO HOOOOOo- now I can be in with the wicked crowd!

As for my past eventful events:

I went to Vegas this weekend with the Catallas!!! It was very very mucho fun. We ate and ate and ate all weekend without paying a penny at the buffet lines, we had a belated Easter egg hunt, and we danced and danced..... I had the chance to be wing-man for a night.

We arrived in Henderson about 0430 on Saturday am. It was quite an adventure.... for sure! Then we started our day with Wing's bday party/egg hunt... it was so fun! We were grown adults reverting back into little children. oh a little egg hunt is simple---- you may think.... but we spiced it up a bit by covering one eye and holding the bag with the same hand that we are to pick up the egg with. It was more challenging than it sounds, hopefully regi or wing posted up some photos in their blog, pero no tengo fotos (but I don't have photos). Anyway, Saturday night, Reg and I accidentally took on the same alias with funky background info. Reg's name was Lizzy, and I happened to forget my name so I used Liz. We were traveling nurses from Seattle and we were in Vegas for the weekend before we would fly back to our hometown on Wednesday. -we got pretty elaborate when we made up our info... it's kinda fun! Anyway I was the wing-man for the night and ...(I'll just leave it at that.... what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas)..... don't worry, we were good, I just wrote that for the suspense! We got to see Seth MacFarlan (I think that's how you spell it)- the writer for Family Guy.
Overall it was a fun weekend... good clean fun!

Thanks Catallas!!!!

Time is certainly flyin by...

It's already the middle of March! That means 3 more pay checks to go and I will be done with my spring semester.
Anyway, that's pretty much it. I am just going with the flow of life. Still in school, still working, still eating and sleeping. Not much rockband nowadays, though...I think it's because I am really trying to focus on school and my future academic goals. The way it looks, I will be done with this program by the end of fall or winter... depending if I will take it slow or full force. And then hopefully start up my MSN by next fall. As each day passes, I am getting more serious about what I want to be when I grow up. I know that sounds funny, but it's true. I have set up so many personal goals for myself. I feel that this is the time in my life where my capabilities are to be at its peak... I should take advantage of it now. I know that marriage and family is in the plan... somewhere.... sometime, but for now---day by day. Everything will fall into place at its own time.
